PUT ရဲ႕ ထူးထူးျခားျခား အသုံးမ်ား

အဂၤလိပ္ ၾကိယာေတြကို preposition ေတြနဲ႔ တြဲလိုက္တယ့္ အခါ ထူးထူးျခားျခား အဓိပၸာယ္ေတြထြက္လာပါတယ္ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ စုေဆာင္းထားတယ့္ Phrasal verb အခ်ိဳ.ကို မွ်ေ၀ ေပးလိုက္ပါတယ္ ။

(1) put about (a) သေဘၤာ လမ္းေၾကာင္းေျပာင္းသည္ ။
The captain put about the ship .
(b) စိတ္ဒုကၡေရာက္ ၊ စိတ္မခ်မ္းမသာ ျဖစ္သည္ ။
It was very much put about by the loud music .
(c) သတင္း ေကာလဟာလ ျပန္႔သည္ ။
Don't believe all the news that are being put about
nowadays .

(2) put aside (a) ေဘးသို႔ဖယ္သည္ ။ ခ်ထားသည္ ။
She put aside the magazine and went to open the door .
(b) ေငြ စုေဆာင္းသည္ ။
Mg Mg put aside some money for his birthday party .
(c) လ်စ္လ်ဴရႈသည္ ။ ဂရုမစိုက္ပဲ ေနသည္ ။
You can't put aside the fact that Bo Aung San was the
father of the Armed Forces .

(3) put away (a) စြန္႔လႊတ္သည္ ။
He had to put away all ideas of joining the University
when his father died .
(b) အစားအေသာက္ အလြန္အက်ဴး စားသည္ ။
That fellow is astonishing . He can put away five plates
of fried noddles in one sitting .
(c) လူကို စိတၱဇေဆးရုံ ပို႔သည္ ။
He was put away because he was insane .
(d) တိရစၦာန္ကို ( နာရၽြ္ ၊ အိုရၽြ္) သတ္သည္ ။
The horse was so old and weak that it had to be put away .
(e) သိမ္းသည္ ။ ေနရာတက် ျပန္ထားသည္ ။
The teacher told her pupils to put their books away .

(4) put back (a) ျပန္ထားသည္ ။
Put the dictionary back on the shelf .
(b) တိုးတက္မႈ ေႏွာင့္ေႏွးေစသည္ ။
The strike by the workers has put back production .
(c) သေဘၤာ ျပန္လာသည္ ။
The ship put back to harbour .
(d) နာရီကို ေနာက္ျပန္ေရြ႕သည္ ။
The clock is fast . Put it back ten minutes .

(5) put by (a) အိုစာမင္းစာ အတြက္ စုေဆာင္းသည္ ။
You should put by at least a quarter of your income .

(6) put down as (a) ထင္ျမင္ယူဆသည္ ။ (think နဲ႔ တူပါတယ္ ။)
Don't lie to me . Do you put me down as a fool ?

(7) put forward (a) အၾကံအစည္ အယူအဆကို တင္ျပသည္ ။
The theory was put forward to the committee for consideration .
(b) နာရီကို ေရွ႕သို႔ ေရႊ႕သည္ ။
Your watch is slow . Put it forward five minutes .

(8) put down (a) စာျဖင္ ့ေရးမွတ္သည္ ။
Here is my address . Put it down before you forget it .
(b) ႏိွမ္ႏွင္းသည္ ။
The king ordered the general to put down the rebellion .

(9) put in (a) စကား ၾကားျဖတ္ ၀င္ေျပာသည္ ။
It was rude to put in while someone is talking .
(b) သေဘၤာ ဆိပ္ကမ္း တစ္ခုတြင္ ၀င္နားသည္ ။

(10) put off (a) အခ်ိန္ ေရြ႕သည္ ။
Don't put off going to the dentist .
The meeting was put off because the headmaster was ill .
(b) သေဘၤာ ထြက္ခြာသည္ ။
The ship put off from the jetty on time . ( ဒီ၀ါက်မွာ on time ဆိုတာ
အခ်ိန္မွန္တာကို ေျပာတာပါ ။ in time ဆိုရင္ေတာ့ အခ်ိန္မွီေပါ့ ။ jetty ဆို
တာက သေဘၤာ ကပ္တယ့္ ေဘာတံတား ၊ ဆိပ္ခံ ေဘာတံတားကို ေျပာတာ
ပါ။ )

(11) put on (a) ၀တ္ဆင္သည္ ။ (အက်ၤ ီ ၊ ဦးထုပ္ ၊ ဖိနပ္ စသည္ ။ )
She puts on her uniform before going to school .
(b) ဟန္ေဆာင္သည္ ။
Her modesty is all put on . ( modesty ဆိုတာ ႏိွမ့္ခ်တာ ၊
ပလႊားတာကို ဆိုတာပါ ။)
