ခ်ီးမြမ္းေျပာဆိုနည္း (How to pay a compliment)

နည္းလမ္းတက် ခ်ီးမြမ္းေျပာဆိုတတ္ဖို႕ ေလ့လာထားပါ။

• Man: Good morning!
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ႏႈတ္ဆက္စကား
  Woman: Morning!
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - တံု႔ျပန္ႏႈတ္ဆက္

• Man: By the way, I just wanted to say well done on clinching that deal!
  အမ်ိဳးသား - စကားမစပ္ ေျပာရဦးမယ္။ အဲဒီသေဘာတူညီခ်က္ရေအာင္လုပ္လိုက္တာ သိပ္ေကာင္းတာဘဲ။
  Woman: Oh, thanks. It wasn’t too difficult.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။ သိပ္မခက္ပါဘူး။

• Man: You’re being modest! You did really well.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ကိုယ့္ကိုယ္ကို ႏွိမ့္ခ်ေျပာတာပါ။ တကယ္ေတာ့ အင္မတန္ ေတာ္တဲ့ လုပ္ရပ္ပါ။
  Woman: Thank you.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။

• Man: You’re a great manager, you know.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ခင္ဗ်ားက အင္မတန္ေတာ္တဲ့ မန္ေနဂ်ာဘဲ သိတယ္မဟုတ္လား။
  Woman: Do you think so?
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - အဲဒီလိုဘဲ ထင္သလား။

• Man: Oh yeah.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ထင္ပါတယ္။
  Woman: I appreciate that. (Pause)
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။
  (ေခတၱၿငိမ္သက္)

• Man: Have you cut your hair?
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ဆံပင္ညႇပ္ထားလား။
  Woman: Oh yes, I did actually. Thanks for noticing!
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ဟုတ္တယ္။ ညႇပ္လိုက္တယ္။ သတိျပဳေပးတဲ့အတြက္ ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။

• Man: Where did you get it done?
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ဘယ္မွာညႇပ္တာလဲ။
  Woman: Oh, just thatplace on the high street.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - လမ္းမတန္းက ဆိုင္မွာပါ။

• Man: They did a great job and it looks great with the out fit.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ဆံပင္ညႇပ္တဲ့သူေတြ တကယ္ေတာ္တာဘဲ၊ အ၀တ္အစားနဲ႕လည္း သိပ္လိုက္တယ္။
  Woman: Do you think so?
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - အဲဒီလိုဘဲ ထင္သလား။

• Man: Oh yeah. Very …fashionable.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ထင္ပါတယ္၊ သိပ္ ဖက္႐ွင္က်တာဘဲ။
  Woman: Oh, it’s just an old thing.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ပံုေဟာင္းေနပါၿပီ။

• Man: Well, you’ve got a great sense of style.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ခင္ဗ်ား စတိုင္ သိပ္ေကာင္းတာဘဲ။
  Woman: Thank you, youtoo.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။ ႐ွင္လည္း ဒီလိုပါဘဲ။

• Man: Thank you.
  (pause)
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ေက်းဇူးတင္ပါတယ္။
  (ေခတၱၿငိမ္သက္)

• Man: Nice perfume, too.Is that Dream?
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ေရေမႊးလည္းေကာင္းတယ္ေနာ္။ Dream ေရေမႊးလား။
  Woman: Well, yes it is,actually.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ဟုတ္တယ္။

• Man: You wear it well.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - ခင္ဗ်ားနဲ႕ လုိက္တယ္။
  Woman: I’m flattered.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - သိပ္ေျမႇာက္တာဘဲ။
  Man: My pleasure.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - တကယ္ေျပာတာပါ။

• Woman: Listen, do you want something?
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေနပါဦး။ ႐ွင္တစ္ခုခု လိုခ်င္တာ႐ွိလို႕လား။
  Man: No. I’m just being polite, you know.
  အမ်ိဳးသား - မ႐ွိပါဘူး။ စကားကို ယဥ္ေက်းေအာင္ ေျပာတာေလ။
  Woman: Hmmm.
  အမ်ိဳးသမီး - ေၾသာ္။
